Studio Services

Working in the studio is no longer my main job, but I do enjoy doing studio work here and there as the need arises.  Below are some of the services that I can offer.  Please use the Contact Page if you have any questions or want to get a quote.  All services are billed through Open Book Audio, and can be paid with cash, check, money order, PayPal, or credit card (Visa/MC/Discovery/Amex)

Vocals, Piano, Instrument Sampling Session Services

Got a track that you need some piano, keyboards, or sampled instruments on, but don't have the equipment or skills to do them yourself?  Need a vocalist for a lead or background vocal part?  Just send the backing track to me with sheet music, chord charts, or lyrics sheets.  I will record what you need and send back raw tracks for you to import into your mix.

Arranging / Orchestration / Production

Want a special arrangement written of your favorite hymn to sing for a special occassion?  Are you a songwriter who wants a string part written for your next recording session?  Do you have a great song that would like produced with full-on production values?  All I need is the lyrics, melody line, and a few chords, and I can produce a fully completed track for you.  Great for educational facilities who need special tracks made for performances, concerts, or rehearsals.

Recording - Music

If you're local to the Seattle area, and would like to record your songs, I may be able to assist.  The studio is not set up to handle large groups of folks or certain instruments (live drums are not an option, for example).  However, I would be more than happy to engineer and record your music utilizing my facilities. See the equipment list and studio photos on the Studio page for more information about the studio's capabilities.

Recording - Voiceover

My studio is, first and foremost, a voiceover studio.  I am set up specifically to handle the recording of spoken word.  I have experience with commercials, audiobooks, podcasts, and more.  Hourly rates are extremely reasonable.

Mixing

Have some tracks you've recorded, but that you need to get mixed?  I am an accomplished mixing engineer and can help to sculpt your recording into a polished finished product.

Mastering

Mastering is the process of taking all of your individual tracks and adjusting levels, EQ, and other settings to make them sound like they all belong on the same album.  Mastering can also include preparing a master CD image, encoding files, and preparing audio for its final distribution method.

Disc Duplication

If you have a disc that you'd like duplicated, I am able to utilize my Primera Bravo II Pro disc duplication system to burn and print of CDs in batches of up to up to 200 discs.  I am able to print in full color.  Prices based on # of discs, type of disc stock required, and the type of printing on the disc face.
